Law Clerk

Law clerks are trained to provide many important and highly specialized administrative duties related to the legal field. As a result, this profession has become an increasingly valuable resource to law firms and businesses alike.

Law clerks will work in a very fast-paced environment in law firms, corporate legal departments, financial institutions, insurance companies, title searching companies, Federal, Provincial and Municipal Government offices, court offices, registry offices, government boards and tribunals, and legal services provider agencies among a host of other institutions. Depending on the area of employment, law clerks have a wide range of responsibilities, including preparing trial documentation, interviewing witnesses, arranging trial dates and adjournments, preparing corporate/commercial documentation, completing family law financial statements, assisting in the administration of estates, completing legal research, searching titles and processing real estate transactions.
