The purpose of this course is to provide trainees with the fundamental skills required to work in the field of industrial automation and process data communication system. This course provides a specific safety-related practical experience, such as PLC installation, connection, configuration and operation. 2501-01 is a PLC introductory course that gives trainees a basics concept of PLC. Block diagram and data communication. Technology uses to manage and maintain PLC. Function of important system and subsystem of PLC; familiarize protocols and devices associated with PLC.

  • Understand and explain purpose of uses process automation system
  • Demonstrate basics of PLC, working principle of a PLC
  • Understand and explain different protocols, method of PLC communication
  • Demonstrate basics of PLC programming, develop Ladder Logic Diagrams
  • Demonstrate installation and configuration of a PLC
  • Demonstrate PLC communication with RTU and SCADA system
  • Explain how to do troubleshooting, system upgrade and device connection
