ACCOUNTING AND PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION

The Accounting and Payroll Administration Program is designed to provide students with the hands-on training in the key areas of financial accounting and payroll, in addition to the implementation and operation of a computerized accounting system. The successful graduate will have the necessary skills to effectively keep a set of books, both manually and electronically. Upon successful completion of the Accounting & Payroll Diploma program, students will be eligible to apply for Canadian Payroll Association Certification (CPA) to become a CPA member. Program of study includes: Essential Skills, MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel Level 1 & 2, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Outlook & Email, Communication Essentials, Business Communications, Employment Achievement Strategies, Bookkeeping & Accounting, Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, ACCPAC, Payroll Level 1 & 2, Financial Analysis & Control.
 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Equivalent 2. Mature students status - 18 years of age or older and pass a pre-entry evaluation Note - All foreign credentials must be translated into English and compared for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization (i.e. WES)
