About The Program

What You Will Learn In The Classroom

Medix College of Healthcare uses a modular approach to deliver the Massage Therapy Curriculum. Students will learn through various theory-based courses pertaining to anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the human body. This will give the student the theoretical background of normal structure and function, and of dysfunction. The practical-based courses will focus on the assessment and treatment procedures of various pathologies of the human body and as outlined by the profession of Massage Therapy.

The curriculum relies on two fundamental principles:

  • Teach to foster an understanding of the material versus memorization of material
  • Implementation of cross-curricular integration throughout the program

Students will learn to apply the knowledge obtained throughout the program,

while employing critical thinking to create appropriate assessment and treatment plans. In doing so, students will be able to properly address the conditions of their clients.
