Introduction to AutoCAD 2D

This courseware is designed for new users of AutoCAD. Hands-on exercises throughout the courseware will explore how to create 2D production drawings. These exercises are provided in both a printed format, and an onscreen format that can be viewed next to AutoCAD.

Course Objectives

The primary objective of this courseware is to teach students the basic commands necessary for professional 2D drawing, design, and drafting using AutoCAD. This includes:

Navigating the AutoCAD user interface
Using the fundamental features of AutoCAD
Using precision drafting tools in AutoCAD to develop accurate technical drawings
Presenting drawings in a detailed and visually impressive manner

Introduction to AutoCAD 3D

AutoCAD 3D Drawing and Modelling introduces students who are proficient with AutoCAD’s 2D commands to the concepts and methods of 3D modelling. The course provides a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of 3D and explores the main features of AutoCAD’s advanced 3D Modelling workspace.
