Lean, also known as Lean Manufacturing, Lean Enterprise, or Lean Production, is a process-improvement methodology that identifies and eliminates non-value-adding activities in business processes. Value-adding activities are what the customer is willing to pay for and non-value-adding activities are considered waste and unproductive. Removing and or minimizing non-value-adding activities improves business results.
Students earning Statements of Completion in both Lean Business Improvement and Six Sigma Business Improvement will earn an Associate Certificate in Lean Six Sigma Principles.
