The Advanced Standing Program is exclusively open to candidates who have a background in specific educational fields, including musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, pathology, orthopedic assessment, nutrition, and remedial exercise. The program is structured into nine weekend modules that blend both lectures and hands-on training.
The curriculum emphasizes adherence to CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario) regulatory standards, professional ethics, legal aspects of the practice, as well as both introductory and complex massage therapy techniques, hydrotherapy, and the application of massage therapy in treating various injuries, disabilities, and health conditions based on outcome-oriented approaches. Participants have the opportunity to hone their skills in a practical setting within the student clinic and through engagements in patient outreach initiatives.
