Techniques D’Éducation Specialisee (JNC.1U)
The Special Education Techniques - JNC.1U program at CDI College aims to train professionals who may be called upon to work with youth, adults, and the elderly presenting various difficulties: physical or intellectual disabilities, behavioral disorders, mental health issues, or health-related disorders, in order to support their adaptation, rehabilitation, and/or social integration.
Upon completion of their training, the graduate* will be able to: work in collaboration with teachers and other professionals to intervene directly with users presenting learning difficulties, adaptation difficulties, and/or behavioral disorders; participate in the development and application of intervention plans and identify means to achieve objectives; develop, organize, and lead various educational or pedagogical support activities, cultural, recreational, sports, etc. to develop skills in: social interaction, cognition, psychomotor abilities, communication, self-esteem, assertiveness, problem/conflict resolution; use intervention techniques adapted to crisis management contexts; collaborate, when necessary, with youth protection services, local community service centers, police, etc.
