AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Do you have a passion for vehicles and troubleshooting? Increase your skillset and keep things running smoothly in the automotive service industry. This nine-month Automotive Technician certificate program is one of the best programs available for engine-lovers. Learn to thrive in a shop environment with your commitment to vehicle and customer service. In this program, you will learn to repair and service both cars and light-duty trucks with a focus on fundamental shop skills. From there, gain skills in repairing engines, powertrains and electrical systems. You will work inside our modern automotive shop at the Len Evans Centre for Trades and Technology, a 130,000 square foot building at our North Hill campus in Brandon Steer your career in the right direction with work experience during your time at Assiniboine. You will get essential on-the-job training as you meet with possible employers. Register as an apprentice within two years of completing the program, and your in-school technical training may count towards your Level 1 Automotive Service Technician.
