Grade 12 or equivalent or Mature Student Status. Mature students must successfully pass the test specified by the campus with minimum required score. Courses are open to any applicant who possesses a good command of the English language and is able to follow instructions. Full-time students must attend the required hours per week as per the course schedule and may do so at times convenient to them.
Program Highlights
The program provides knowledge and skills required to support design and development of civil engineering systems, parts configuration and product creation from the concept stage through all phases of engineering; cost, construction, commission, modification, maintenance and decommission.
Career Opportunities
On completion of the program, students will gain strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed for successful employment in civil engineering, building, mining and other related sectors. Civil engineering technologists and technicians provide technical support and services to scientists, engineers and other professionals, or may work independently in fields such as structural engineering, municipal engineering, construction design and supervision, highways and transportation engineering, water resources engineering, geotechnical engineering and environmental protection.
