Grade 12 or equivalent or Mature Student Status. Courses are open to any applicant who possesses a good command of the English language and is able to follow instructions. An admissions interview will be administered to determine if the applicant has the required interest, motivation, and entry-level skills to take this program. Full-time students must attend the required hours per week as per the course schedule and may do so at times convenient to them.
Program Highlights
This entry-level program is designed to prepare students for the CompTIA A+ Certification. CompTIA A+ Certification is the starting point for a career in IT. In this program, students obtain the skills and knowledge required to assemble components based on customer requirements, install, configure, and maintain devices, PCs, and software for end users, understand the basics of networking and security/forensics, properly and safely diagnose, resolve, and document common hardware and software issues while applying troubleshooting skills. Students will also be able to provide appropriate customer support and understand the basics of virtualization, desktop imaging, and deployment.
