Computer – Aided Design And Drafting Specialist

In the Computer-Aided Design and Drafting Specialist diploma program, you’ll learn computer-aided design (CAD) application for architecture, engineering, construction, civil infrastructure, and product design. You will also focus on the fundamentals of drawing and drafting while building knowledge in the technical areas of mathematics, computing, and communication.

In addition, you'll use the software applications to create a variety of designs and drawings that can be utilized in the real world. These will be used to assemble a portfolio of original creations derived from paper sketches and drawings. The program will also prepare you to write certification exams for the software you will learn to use.

Admission Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years of age upon starting classes.)
  • Grade 12 level English or equivalent.
  • Grade 10 level mathematics or equivalent

This program has been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training.
