Program Overview

This one-year diploma credential equips students with comprehensive bookkeeping, financial accounting, and payroll administration competencies utilizing industry-standard platforms including Sage 50, Sage 300 ERP, QuickBooks, and ACCPAC. The 43-week program encompasses 700 hours of theoretical instruction and 200 hours of professional practicum, incorporating Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification coursework to meet national payroll administration standards.

Core Competencies

Students develop proficiency in accounting theory and principles, financial statement preparation, accounts payable and receivable management, computerized accounting systems operation spanning multiple software platforms, comprehensive payroll processing including tax calculations and legislative compliance, office application integration, cost accounting methodologies, and professional documentation practices essential for accurate financial record-keeping in diverse organizational contexts.
