Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography

The 78 weeks (1690 hours) learning involves theoretical (56 weeks) include practical demonstrations of Ultrasound skills in the classroom and supervised practicum in the school Lab and participate in clinical training (22 weeks) with our affiliated clinical agencies. Our state of the art lab with modern ultrasound machines in the facility and Our comprehensive range of exam preparation resource material which helps provide a superior learning experience to each student. Upon successful completion of this diploma program, students will be eligible to write the Sonography Canada Cardiac and ARDMS licensing examination Students who are successful on the SC, the Core and Cardiac Sonographer Exam become certified by Sonography Canada and qualify to register with CMRITO and practice as a Cardiac Sonographer. Before Register with CMRITO, the graduate must complete CMRITO online Jurisprudence Course and get the Certificate.   1. Understand the Ultrasound Sonographer’s requirements and how they will communicate with clients easily and professionally.
  2. Comprehensive Knowledge of operation equipment with suitable setup and evaluate the instrument by doing performance test
  3. Prepare a mental plan to collect necessary echocardiographic data in each patient
  4. Integrate knowledge of anatomy and disease processes
  5. Monitoring examination by viewing images to evaluate the quality of diagnostics images and made necessary adjustments to equipment, as required
  6. Record, store, and process scanned images;
  7. Observe and care for patients throughout examinations to ensure patient safety and comfort;
  8. Describe echocardiographic findings of different disease of the heart
  9. Prepare examinations reports for physicians/cardiologists for helpful diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and pathology.
  10. Perform quality control checks on ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation and perform minor repairs and adjustments as required
  11. Maintain a health and safety environment.

  • Principles described in the Sonography Canada, Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, The Scope of Practice for Sonographers;
  • The regulation Board CMRITO requirements;
  • Other healthcare-related regulation and policy
