This program is for people who wish to work in entry level positions in the Transportation and Warehouse Industries.
Some examples of jobs include: assembler, production worker, order picker, forklift operator, delivery driver, courtesy driver, shuttle bus driver, school bus driver
Transportation and Warehouse Industry Workers: Earn $15.00 – $18.00 per hour to start.
Entry Requirements
CLB 2-6 (CLB levels and mathematical requirements depend on career of interest).
This is an excellent program for those who have completed ESL and/or have reached satisfactory levels of LINC study.
Program Description
16 or 32 week program.
Get Academic Upgrading in Essential Skills English, Math, and Computers.
Study occupation specific modules to prepare for work experience
Get training in:
Occupation specific vocabulary
Workplace language, culture and communications
Customer Service
Work Strategies
Work experience placement – up to 6 weeks
Career and job placement support from an Employment Specialist/Job Coach.
Certificates in:
Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C
Forklift Operator
Transportation of Dangerous Good
H2S Awareness
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
