Food Handler

The Food Handling Certification Program at Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada (PMCC) is a one-day training course followed by two hours of exam. Successful completion of the exam provides you with a Food Handler Certificate. The certificate is valid for five years. The program includes all the mandatory requirements of provincial food safety training and recognized by all the health units within Ontario. During the course, you will learn about the general principles of safe food handling, including topics such as:
  • Public health legislation
  • Understanding Foodborne Illness (Food Poisoning)
  • Safe Food Handling
  • Food Premises Sanitation
