Food Handling/ Food Safety Certification Workshop

The food safety certification course meets the requirements of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care for Safe Food Handling Certification. This 8 hours certification workshop is recommended for anyone that serves food to others, especially those who serve food to the public. This course satisfies legislated food handler training requirements across Canada and is ideal for staff in restaurants, day cares, camps, long-term care homes, special events, etc. Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
  • safe food handling
  • hazardous foods
  • basic microbiology and
  • food poisoning
  • introduction to HACCP
  • personal hygiene
  • sanitation and cleaning
  • pest control
  • food allergies and
  • basic nutrition.
