Introduction to Massage

This course is a mandatory Admissions prerequisite that is held over one weekend at CCMH. The course runs from 5pm – 9 pm on the Friday, and then 9am – 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday. There are several different weekends per year that the course is offered.  The course presents basic terminology, theoretical concepts and the practical application of massage. Basic health and safety concerns are addressed, as well as self-care strategies for massage therapy students.  Successful completion of the Introduction to Massage course is a passing grade of 70% and a recommendation for admission from the instructor of the course.  This recommendation is based on a student’s behaviour and performance in class.
