LASER TECHNICIAN DIPLOMA

We are proud to deliver a comprehensive Laser Technician Diploma program. International Beauty Institute has world class, modern laser and light therapy devices found exclusively at physicians’ offices and high-end medi-spas. This course prepares the student for a career in the evolving medical aesthetic industry by combining knowledge of the skin’s functions and standard spa treatments with advanced laser theory and thorough hands-on clinical training with various laser technologies. This course provides detailed knowledge of laser physics, various laser tissues effects, skin typing, wound healing, client consultations, and indications and contraindications to laser and light-based therapies. Additionally, the importance of adhering to the Ministry of Health and Health Canada regulations is emphasized.

PREREQUISITES

• Personal interview to determine suitability for the program
• Grade 12 graduate, or
• Mature Student Status (18 years +) with passing score on entrance test (Wonderlic Personnel Test)

In order to graduate and receive a diploma, a student must obtain an overall average of 70% with no grade less than 60% in any theory or practical examination.

In addition, students must: Achieve a satisfactory rating in each of the required abilities in the practical application Successfully complete the hours of practical application
