All Legal Assistant program students will be trained on the latest legal software: PCLaw, Automated Civil Litigation (ACL3), Teraview, Conveyancer, Fast Company, Divorcemate, and Estate-A-Base.

Career Opportunities

Legal Assistants normally work in a legal firm setting, assisting lawyers with clerical work as well as collecting case-based information for trials and hearings. As a Legal Assistant, you can also work for government agencies or the legal departments of corporations. Note that some career options may require advanced degrees, further training or experience.

Program Details

Are you interested in pursuing a career in the legal field? If you’re looking to play a vital role in supporting lawyers in their day-to-day tasks and responsibilities, then the Legal Assistant program is exactly what you need to get you there. You will be taught how to assist lawyers with completing research, drafting deeds, wills, affidavits, and briefs, as well as overseeing databases and looking into case facts. Courses such as Family Law, Legal Research and Writing, Debtor/Creditor and Real Estate Law will equip you with the skills needed for a strong foundation in the legal industry. Students enrolled in the program receive:
