Network Cabling Specialist Pre-Apprenticeship (Estimation Track)

This program is offered at the Toronto and Cambridge campus. Network Cabling focuses on cabling issues related to data and voice connections and provides an understanding of the industry and its worldwide standards, types of media and cabling, physical and logical networks as well as signal transmission. They are also responsible for reading and interpreting job reference material, diagrams, plans, manuals, and technical specifications and understanding the usage of various equipment, systems, and industry standards. Students who complete our structured Network Cabling Specialist course will receive theory instruction together with the hands-on training methodology taught by highly trained instructors. Students will develop skills in reading network design documentation, part list set up and purchase, pulling and mounting cable, cable management, choosing wiring closets and patch panel installation and termination as well as the installation of jacks and cable testing.
