Network Systems Administrator

The Network Systems Administrator program focuses on preparing students to manage and maintain computers and network installations. Students will develop technical skills in network installation, maintenance, and management, as well as implementation and operation of computer services.

In addition to developing a solid foundation in Information Technology skills, you will participate in a work placement program. The program also prepares students to write certification exams for Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+, Net+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).

Graduates of the program will leave with the skills to plan, implement, administer, and maintain a computer network and foster computer user support skills required to meet employers' needs in these areas.

Admission Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent*

OR

  • Mature student status**

 

*From an English-language teaching institution.
**19 years of age upon starting classes and Pass the college's admissions test.

This program has been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training.
