Do you want a career where you can make a difference in someone’s life? Would you like to get educated and start working in a short amount of time? If you’re caring by nature consider becoming a Personal Support Worker.
As a Personal Support Worker, you would provide personal care and companionship for those living with disability, disease, or old age. You would help with meal preparation, feeding, bathing, personal hygiene, and housekeeping duties. A healthcare worker or nurse may also direct you to assist with tasks like administering medication and collecting specimens (under their supervision). Most important, being a Personal Support Worker means you have to be patient and sensitive to your client’s needs.
