Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant Diploma
Our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapist Assistant diploma program primarily focuses on the growth and development of the human body and the different physiotherapy methods & techniques to support clients’ independence, activities, and help in proper physical functioning. In this program, students will learn the theory behind the practice of occupational therapy and physiotherapy. This program is accredited by the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant Education Accreditation Program (OTA & PTA EAP) in collaboration with Physiotherapy Education Accreditation Canada (PEAC) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).

In this program, students will learn the theory behind the practice of occupational therapy and physiotherapy. They will also be able to apply the acquired knowledge through clinical experiences and practicum sessions during placements.

The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapist Assistant program educates you to support people whose ability to function and adapt has been impaired or compromised due to injury, illness, or conditions affecting participation in daily activities. After training in the diploma program, a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experiences, the student will develop competencies and imbibe compassion to become client-centred and a rehabilitation practitioner prepared with the skills to grow in the dynamic health care field.
Faculty
The teaching staff will be experienced occupational therapists and physiotherapists with a high degree of expertise in the field to ensure every student has the educational tools, training, and hands-on experience necessary to meet challenges with professionalism, industry knowledge and skills. Expertise in academics and personalised attention to students are core features of the program.
Once the program is completed, the student will have the knowledge, skills to work for starters under supervised practice with registered occupational therapists and physiotherapists and understand rehabilitation services to improve the client’s quality of life.
