The Police Foundation diploma program provides the opportunity for students to pursue a 4-week field placement for hands-on experience.

The Police Foundations program will qualify grads to pursue positions within various Police Services, By-Law Enforcement, Campus Police, Insurance Investigation and Court Services.

Program Details

Do you want to pursue a career in policing? Did you know that the policing community will experience the largest recruitment effort over the next few years because of retirement trends and an increase in the number of positions to be filled? If you want to become part of the legal field, then the Police Foundations program will help you launch your new career in the industry. Students will take a diverse set of courses to prepare for the policing related work. You will learn how to interview and interrogate, understand courtroom procedures and testimonies, recognize police powers and authority, and implement fitness into your daily lifestyle. Combine practical, theoretical and substantive knowledge in a way that is relevant to police-related work settings. Students enrolled in the program receive:

Firearms safety training;
PR/First Aid training;
Instructors with police experience.
