This Social Services Worker diploma program has been designed to prepare you for positions in the community social services field with attention to the specific needs of three populations: youth, Aboriginals, and people affected by addiction.

In the Social Services Worker – Professional diploma program, you will complete two practicums and work alongside other social services workers to gain valuable work experience so that, upon graduation, you will be able to apply your skills to a wide range of situations. Admission Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent*, or mature student** status.
  • Pass college’s admissions test.
  • Criminal record check (in accordance with the Criminal Records Review Act).
  • Immunization report (form provided by the College).
  • Complete ‘Student Declaration – Social Services Worker Programs’ form (provided by the College).

*From an English-language teaching institution.

**19 years of age upon starting classes and Pass the college's English admissions test.

 

This program has been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training.
