Canadian Fire Alarm Technology

This program satisfies the theory training requirements of the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) for registration as a Registered Fire Alarm Technician. It consists of 5 Courses, each requiring 36 hours. Short course descriptions are here. The cost of tuition and books for the entire program is $3500.00 plus GST/HST.

We issue a Record of Training for each module completed, which is recognized by the CFAA. To attain full registration, the CFAA also requires additional experience and competence. Learn more at the CFAA website.

For members of the public, training is completed in a classroom and takes 4 weekend days per module. Each day is 9 hours long. Classes are held on consecutive weekends, avoiding major Public Holidays, and run from 8am – 5pm daily. Please see the schedules below for our current Markham Public In-class Training offerings.

Students whose training is paid by their employers are welcome in these public sessions, but have several other options. Learn more about Corporate Training options

Students who will be dealing directly with us will be welcomed under our Vocational Training rules. Learn more about Vocational Training Admission Requirements and Registration Process.

We operate on a strict first come, first served basis.

Please let us know if you have a disability and/or require special needs or accommodations during the classes that we can help with.
