Do you love being around animals, especially pets? The pet care industry is booming, as more people welcome animals into their homes, creating a growing demand for veterinary assistants. These professionals play an essential role in supporting veterinarians with daily tasks such as surgical preparation, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and more.
Reeves College's Veterinary Health Care Assistant program is designed to equip you with the skills needed to handle both clinical and administrative tasks in a veterinary clinic or hospital. You will learn key areas such as animal husbandry, nutrition, breeding, breed identification, and veterinary office procedures, helping to ensure the clinic operates efficiently.
Upon graduation, you'll earn your diploma and industry certifications, including DOGSAFE® Canine First Aid, Standard First Aid and CPR ‘C’, and WHMIS 2015. Additionally, the program includes a six-week practicum in a real-world veterinary setting, giving you hands-on experience and preparing you for a successful career in veterinary care.
